Victoria Picone - The Richness of Joy
NAME: Victoria Picone
AGE: 57 LOCATION: Northern NSW, Australia Hairstylist; Complementary Therapies Practitioner I am a woman who celebrates life, loves people and has always been pulled to truly understand the inner workings of human nature, the nature of life, the Universe and the greater truths governing us all. I was a deeply reflective child, though not a serious one.
I have lived a varied and colourful life to date, what most would call a ‘good’ life, while honouring the very real challenges of life experiences with illness and death of a partner.
What I have discovered is that leading a ‘good’ life does not necessarily equate to leading a true life, a Way of Living I now live and enjoy.
|
My work life today has combined my love of people, beauty and creativity, and a passion for true health and wellbeing.
|
What inspires me is the greatness we equally hold within us, a depth and wisdom that can be reconnected to, and the fact that it can be lived very naturally in every day
I was born in Sydney Australia where I spent my childhood years with my beautiful young parents and 2 sisters. I lived and worked in Sydney until relocating to the North Coast of NSW in 1990. After finishing school and completing an apprenticeship in the Hairdressing Industry and further training in the UK, I worked in a managerial position in a Sydney Salon for 7 years. These were colourful and crazy times.
Along with my love of creativity I have an affinity with the inner health of the body and being, and was studying Herbal Medicine, Nutrition and Creative Movement during this time. I have always loved expressing through movement . . . the way the body can communicate so gracefully.
Over these questing years I was immersed in the personal and spiritual development movement in the late 80’s early 90’s assisting on many workshops and courses. In addition I also travelled extensively through much of Asia, India and Nepal spending numerous hours on meditation retreats, living the life of an ascetic and studying eastern philosophies. I always had a hunger for truth. A little later I discovered Yoga and was a student and then teacher studying many forms both in Australia, Bali and India. I was very dedicated as a student, but in truth found no lasting settlement in myself, as there was no consistency in connection or true fulfilment.
My natural inquisitiveness, openness and willingness to embrace life have lead me to where I am today after many years studying the Ageless Wisdom through Universal Medicine, a medicine that is truly Universal.

I currently work as a Hair Stylist and Esoteric Therapies practitioner, and also work in a creative retail establishment. In addition to this I am also involved in a voluntary capacity with online websites and Women in Livingness Magazine supporting true health and wellbeing. I have learnt that everything in life is built on the loving relationship and foundation we have established with ourselves. I love the variety in my work and my focus is on the quality of care and loving attention I bring to whatever I am doing, and in that respect it is equal no matter what the work.
After 11 years of operating a well-established and successful business in Byron Bay within the Wellness Industry, I now work from a Home Studio. What I offer today is ME, pure and simple yet powerful. I am a woman who is deeply caring and nurturing and through my work I offer a space and presence for others to connect with their true beauty and inner essence. There may be laughter; joy and sometimes tears and I love the profound reflections we are for each other. In the past I was only living and expressing the shadowy versions of these qualities and not in respect of the all that I am.
My life in the past may have been ‘good’ but now I experience it as full and with purpose, and it doesn’t stop there, it is ever expanding. The more I discover the more there is that naturally unfolds.
I feel younger in my elder years and have more vibrancy, true beauty and grace in my body than I have previously known. In my essence I know the Sacredness I am . . . and the fact we all meet in this place. I am celebrating this coming home each and every day.
