Greg and Carmin - A Powerful Union
Greg is a constant inspiration to me. When we met, I was seventeen and he was eighteen, but it felt like we had known each other forever – there was an immediate agelessness to our relationship. I was first struck by his maturity, inner strength and natural confidence – his ability to stay calm and manage any situation. We have since been together for 25 years, married for 20 and have three beautiful boys who have taught us lots about ourselves, life and relationships in general. I love how many of Greg’s inspiring attributes are not my strengths and I get the blessing of this as a beautiful reflection.
Greg has always been a gentle, tender man and over the last six years has stopped trying to hide this and begun to embrace his natural expression. One of the greatest privileges of being together has been observing his growth as a human being, and divine man. It has been beautiful to watch him extend this to others, our home and his work.
He is an amazing father to our boys, and although right now they require parenting and guidance and have their own paths and decisions to make, he holds them first as the divine beings that they truly are. If I had to sum Greg up in one sentence, it is that he stands firmly for truth. I cherish our relationship and look forward to many more years of loving and deepening together.
I have often referred to Carmin as my ‘Guiding Angel’ and now know the ageless truth behind these words. That, and her infectious ability to connect with and converse with anybody, I love – she really does love humanity, is deeply caring and gives her all in every moment to support everyone she knows . . . and speaking of truth, for me the most admired attribute of Carmin has been the truth to which she has steadfastly held firm her whole life.
Then there’s her cheeky playfulness that sneaks up on you from ‘nowhere’ and blasts away any cobwebs of living in drudgery that may gather from time to time.
Being such a marker of truth has not always been so easy for her, in facing the response from others. She doesn’t shy away from holding what is true. I love and appreciate the way that we can be open and honest with each other, and any reactions are fleeting and never come between us.
We are certainly a powerful union supporting and perfectly complementing each other, and our three amazing boys choose to be part of this team – together we continue to unfold.
